On Paint and Digitization

Time is on My Side

When it comes to finding blocks of time to paint and make a mess. .

If necessity is the mother of invention, I’m in the season of working, not painting or making art [like most artists long to be doing]. Working so I can finish projects relating to transportation and making upgrades around the house, which includes clean-up from last year’s ice storm. We’ve all been there, right?

I’ll be looking forward to a long weekend in February to perhaps steal away and dip brushes in water and drag paint on paper. I was planning to forego participating in the 100 Day Project, but upon rethinking that decision, I may choose to do something small and manageable., as suggested by someone I consider to be my Instagram mentor. The subject of my theme will be “Paint and Digitization,” at least that is what’s coming up for me. It may include combined works of handcrafted and digital art or it may not.

Realistically, finding time to paint every day while working full time and organizing upgrades, is not going to be easy, but perhaps a magical path to make it work will appear. I’m grateful to have a job and be working because this is a time of uncertainty for most of us. If you want to take some creative vitamins, I recommend giving the 100 Day Project consideration or join an arts association in your community and enter one of their group shows.
